Another Civil War II tie-in, this seventh issue of Mockingbird continues the cruise-ship murder mystery that was started in the last issue. The art is still wonderful; the writing is still excellent. The story though, is less interesting than that first five-issue run. But it’s fun nevertheless.
Some of the best stuff in this series is the little layout and the little details. Things like little pop-ups next to each character telling you their favorite drinks. It’s usually small things – though the details do often later add-up when you realize that Bobbi is a great detective.
I’ve said it before, but I’m definitely bummed knowing that the next issue is the last in this short-lived series.
